PDL Marine were approached by a company in London to assist them with a vessel that could work in a multitude of tasks from filming, to carrying cargo, diving and also passengers. The vessel also had to be IMO Tier III complaint to fit in with the MCA rules and regulations.
Our solution: The 9m Multi-purpose landing craft with a pair of diesel outboards rated to 174hp (175hp is the point where the engines have to be tier III certified.) The engines were also set to run on HVO fuel which is made from 100% renewable raw materials which in turn reduces the CO2 gas emissions by up to 90%. The vessel is also capable of operating at speeds of 30 knots. (Please use image in folder ‘case studies’
